Fav Lyrics: Not Asian Edition

I do listen to music in English. And otehrs i guess, but not that often. And so anyways, I made a list :) of course more goes into the choice than just lyrics; my own emotional attachment to songs and the overall sound are factors as well.

ah, who am i kidding, this is a recommen list for people who don't have enough balls to listen to songs in other languages. eh, gotta promote the good music anyways ^^

Gotta Knock A Little Harder - Kanno Yoko

Duvet - Boa (no not BoA)

Rise - Origa (it's basically english, russian and latin - close enough)

Tal Vez - Belanova (basically anything from Belanova)

Spiderwebs - No Doubt

Ask DNA - Kanno Yoko (ummmmm...cliches make it awesome? BUDDHA LOVES YOU AND JESUS SAVES)

Komm Susser Todd - Shiru Sagisu (it's in english. it's also the most upbeat depressing song in the world)

Be My Wife - Beat Crusaders (i THINK it's all in english...my mind slips me, but anyways, FANTASTICAL{may be a cover cause bc has like a million, including the mickey mouse club theme song})

Rip Her to Shreds - Blondie

Kirakuni - Crystal Kay (okay ummm there are like two japanese words haha i just love this song, it's a bit like a softer janet jackson or something)

6 days - DJ Shadow

Blind Unicorn - Olivia (this reads like utter poetry Olivia is a genius)

Sakuran - Shiina Ringo (yes this is entirely in english)

Stick Em' Up - Quarashi (you know what i am sooo secretly gangsta YEAH I'M ON THE MIC LIKE A FASCIST MUSSOLINI)

Dynamite - Tokyo Jihen (this is the only song my mother has admitted to liking of mine XD)

You Make Me Want To Be A Man - Utada (please only watch the utada united 2006 version, the recorded version gives me a headache IT'S DIFFERENT 99%)

Kremlin Dusk - Utada (OMG i love this song referencing edgar alan poe it's the only part of edgar alan poe i have ever appreciated)

Simple and Clean - Utada (OMG my senior quote was totes gonna be from this song but then we didn't have them and now it will forever be my secret. seriously i had that picked out from the first time i heard the song around freshman year. this song is beautiful)

Devil Inside - Utada (anotehr one where you might wanna head over to youtube and watch the utada united 2006 live version. the devil playing the cello makes it more fantastic. this song just personifies the snarkiness utada has. it was a club hit when it came out in america. but then utada's american career was killed when people called her "teh japanese britney" NOT TRUE WITCHEZZZ)

Sanctuary - Utada (just because it has backwards lyrics XD)

I Was Born to Love You - Queen

SLAP THAT NAUGHTY BODY - Anna Tsuchiya (okay but ummm the majority and best part is english)

Wish - Olivia (ummm why don't you just do yourself a favor and listen to every Olivia song you can XD)

What About Me? - Bonnie Pink (and um yeah do the same for bonnie. really, this is a fantastic song about being the other woman)

Haha too many anime titles i know. Oh well Kanno is the most talented music person I can think of anyways.

Well needless to say making this post makes me want to make an Asian version. And also makes me want to jsut force everyone in the world to listen to the music i like XD

I'm also working on a review of the newest Superfly single. And Utada's new album. But only time will tell.
